I've been asked a number of times 'where are the best charity and thrift shops in London?', all I say is avoid the majority of zone's 1 and 2, as they're no different from Topshop & H&M most of the time, and head to the more unassuming areas, rather than 'trendy' areas where all the good items are snapped up within seconds. Charity shopping isn't about buying something just because it's cheap, it's the fun of finding something with potential, that no-one else will have, and displaying your creativity without the need for labels and obscene gestures of wealth.
My 6 Favourite-
Harrow-PDSA, Scope, Salvation Army Morden-Scope, Relate, Oxfam Wimbledon-British Heart Foundation, Scope, Cancer Research Archway-Marie Curie, Relief Fund, Mind Balham-British Heart Foundation Clapham North-Save The Children, PawS, Age Concern.
why spend a fortune on fashion? style isnt something you can buy. reflect your creativity in your outfit using second-hand, thrift and home-made items. copy runway looks at a fraction of the price. take pride in the knowledge you're a THRIFT STORE QUEEN not a FASHION VICTIM. this blog shows you outfits the youth of London create using strictly high-street, thrift and hand-made items, where the best charity shops are, and MARVEL at how cheap they cost compared to designer!
